COUNTY COLLECTS DATA OF OVER 16000 BUSINESS- A DAY AFTER LAUNCH

Over 16000 business data have so far been collected from various businesses across the County, a day after the launch of the business data mapping exercise by Governor Dr. Jonathan Bii.

While addressing the technical team on Tuesday, County Executive Committee Member for ICT Eng. Lucy Ng’endo flanked by ICT Chief Officer Felix Kimaru confirmed that the data collection exercise is running smoothly urging the owners of the business premises to continue supporting the initiative.

She said raw data will enable the county to make accurate analysis, especially in advising the government on policy issues such as gender, PWDs in business, and youth in business, among others.

According to the Chief Officer ICT, the collected information representing every business entity will later be uploaded on the Sisibo Hub making it easier for clients to locate various business services from across business entities in the County.

Licensing and Compliance Director David Kebenei on his part, pointed out that GPS coordinates correspond well showing every business premise visited.

“Our enumerators are doing a wonderful job and we are certain that by the end of this exercise, we shall meet our data collection target of 80,000 business premises,” said Kebenei.
