Chief Officer of Administration and Devolved Units, Mr. Ambrose Tarus, on Wednesday, held a meeting with Sub-County and Ward Administrators to discuss key development projects and strategies for improving service delivery to the grassroots.
During the meeting, which focused on critical areas such as ongoing project progress, capacity building, and strengthening communication and protocol handling, Mr. Tarus emphasized the need for thorough oversight and accountability.


He stressed the importance of reviewing the progress of major projects, ensuring the proper verification of Bills of Quantities (BQs), and completing the process accurately to maximize resource utilization and ensure that the intended benefits reach the residents.
Mr. Tarus also noted the significance of providing training opportunities for administrative officers to enhance their skills in managing tasks efficiently, with a clear focus on service delivery.


“Empowering our officers through training is essential for improving administrative efficiency and ensuring that services are delivered effectively to the community,” he said.
He highlighted the critical role of Village Administrators, who play a key part in ensuring that services are delivered smoothly at the grassroots level. He encouraged open communication and the use of proper procedures to gather input from all relevant stakeholders to improve decision-making and administrative efficiency.
“Public involvement is vital in service delivery. I urge administrators to foster open communication channels, follow proper procedures, and engage all stakeholders to ensure that the community’s needs are met,” Mr. Tarus stated.


Additionally, the Chief Officer touched on the importance Wednesday,of handling protocol matters efficiently at the grassroots level, calling for better coordination among local administrators to prevent delays in service delivery. He reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that all administrative efforts align with the broader goals of public service and development, in line with Governor Jonathan Bii’s Nguzo Kumi Manifesto.
