Uasin Gishu Governor Dr Jonathan Bii has continued to make headlines with his commitment to upgrade and enhance the county’s road networks and other critical infrastructure.
Residents of Cheplaskei village in Tapsagoi ward, Turbo Sub County are rejoicing after the recent completion of a Box Culvert and rehabilitation of roads in the area. These projects are in line with Governor Bii’s vision under Nguzo number six of ensuring improved road infrastructure that facilitates access to markets, schools and healthcare facilities.



During his recent development tour in Kesses Sub County, Governor Dr Bii stated that his administration is dedicated to ensuring that every corner of Uasin Gishu enjoys improved infrastructure that supports both economic activities and the daily lives of the residential community.
“Quality roads are very important for our development agenda and the well-being of the people. I would like to encourage my team at the roads department to continue with the good work of delivering quality projects for posterity,” the county boss added.
County Executive for Roads Eng Joseph Lagat while inspecting the completed Kosachei -Chebarus Bridge in Tapsagoi ward emphasised the administration’s commitment to infrastructure development, citing significant improvement in road conditions and accessibility.
“Among other projects we are about to complete include Kapkalacha Bridge in Tembelio Ward, Moiben Sub County and also Kaplelach -Tumoge Box Culvert in Tulwet-Chuiyat Ward, Kesses Sub County. We also have ongoing grading and gravelling programmes across the county,” he said.
