In an induction meeting for new staff held at City Hall, the Public Service Management, Administration and Devolved Units County Executive Committee Member, Mr Elijah Kosgey, underscored the importance of upholding discipline, professionalism and accountability while discharging duties.




Addressing the new employees on behalf of Governor Dr. Jonathan Bii, Kosgey congratulated them on their appointments and urged them to familiarize themselves with their respective departments, noting that their journey as public servants has just begun.
Kosgey highlighted Governor Bii’s commitment to fostering an efficient and effective public service that offer solutions to the needs 21st century clients, as outlined in the Nguzo Kumi agenda.
He reiterated the administration’s vision of building a professional, responsive, and people-centered public service that aligns with the county’s values and aspirations.




Chief Officer for Roads, Mr. Abraham Kiptalam, read a speech on behalf of Jelagat Tirop, the Chief Officer for Public Service Management, welcoming the new staff. The CO, while congratulating the employees, called upon them to discharge their duties within the provisions governing the public service management.



He encouraged them to embrace their roles as part of a diverse workforce, emphasizing that every role, regardless of size, contributes to transforming Uasin Gishu County to a hub of opportunity for all.
The event concluded with chief officers from various departments sharing similar sentiments and illustrating their departmental mandates to the new staff members.
