The performances celebrated the profound love of mothers.

County Executive Committee Member for Gender, Anthony Sitienei, highlighted the essential role of mothers, emphasizing the need to appreciate their contributions to nurturing and social care.

“On this special occasion of Mother’s Day, it is only fitting that we take a moment to acknowledge and appreciate the unwavering strength, sacrifice, love, and sheer fortitude displayed by mothers,” Sitienei stated. “They epitomize grit, selflessness, and resilience, leaving an indelible mark on our lives. Let us recognize the remarkable qualities that make mothers the very essence of fortitude.”

Chief Officer for Gender, Eunice Suter, remarked, “In the tenderness of a mother’s touch, we find relief and comfort. In her words of encouragement, we find the courage to overcome challenges. In her support, we find the strength to pursue our dreams. A mother’s fortitude knows no boundaries, shaping our character throughout our journey. Let us continue celebrating mothers with the same spirit.”

In attendance were, Director for Gender Joywin Sang, Phylis Lagat (Vocational Training), Deputy Directors Esther Serem, Wainaina Kimingi, Betsy Jepkemoi, Millent Rotich, Florence Lagat, and Paul Sambu, along with other county officials.
