UASIN GISHU COUNTY PARTNERS WITH CES CONSULTING ENGINEERS FOR INFRASTRUCTURE MASTER PLANS

The County Government of Uasin Gishu has launched a new partnership with CES Consulting Engineers Salzgitter GmbH of Germany to support the planning and delivery of key infrastructure projects across the county.

Drawing on CES’s 60+ years of experience and proven track record with counties and World Bank-funded projects, the firm will serve as the technical consultant and engineer for Uasin Gishu County.

The firm’s scope covers:
Preliminary Investigations & Feasibility Studies – assessing needs in water, sanitation, roads, and other infrastructure. This positions Eldoret City to meet international standards comparable to sister cities.


Master Planning– including Sanitation Master Plans, wastewater estimates, and investment planning.
Detailed Feasibility Studies & Preliminary Engineering Designs with cost estimates.
Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA)for all proposed projects.

Edward Sawe, CECM for Lands, Housing and Urban Development, led the county team and noted that the partnership will strengthen project preparation and ensure county infrastructure meets environmental, social, and technical standards before implementation begins.

CES will handle studies, designs, supervision, cost control, and capacity building across all priority areas under the county’s development agenda, in alignment with ongoing World Bank-funded programs.

The CES team, led by Dirk Abdelaal, called for full county support by providing existing data, all KISIP 2 development projects, and details of ongoing research projects that align with the county’s futuristic plans and CIDP.

The county expects the initial studies and master plans to guide investment decisions in Eldoret City and other urban centres within Uasin Gishu included is kipkaren estate,Maili nne,Shauri ,Parks and riparian land along River Sosiani.
