Uasin Gishu County has reaffirmed its strong and longstanding partnership with the United States, a relationship built on a shared vision of inclusive growth and expanded opportunities for every resident.
This follows a high-level meeting held today at the County Headquarters, where Governor Jonathan Bii Chelilim hosted Susan M. Burns, Chargé d’Affaires of the United States Embassy in Kenya.
The meeting, described as warm and productive, underscored the deep ties between Uasin Gishu and the United States and renewed commitment to a development agenda that directly impacts the lives of residents.





Speaking after the meeting, Governor Bii said the county remains committed to strengthening partnerships that create meaningful opportunities for its people.
“Our County of Champions has a strong and cherished partnership with the United States, built on a shared vision of inclusive growth and opportunity for every resident. As we deepen this collaboration, we remain focused on what matters most to our people empowering our youth, developing sports, diversifying agriculture, and strengthening healthcare services,” said Governor Bii.












On her part, Ambassador Burns reaffirmed the United States’ support for initiatives aimed at improving livelihoods and promoting sustainable development.
“The United States values its partnership with Uasin Gishu County and remains committed to supporting initiatives that empower young people, strengthen healthcare systems, and unlock economic opportunities for communities,” said Ms Burns.
The engagement is expected to deepen collaboration in key sectors, including youth empowerment, sports development, agriculture, and healthcare, as the county continues to position itself as a hub of growth, innovation, and opportunity.
