COUNTY STEPS UP PREPARATIONS FOR 2026 AGRICULTURAL SHOW

The County Government of Uasin Gishu has intensified preparations for the 2026 Agricultural Show, with the Department of Agriculture, Agribusiness, Livestock and Fisheries working closely with the Agricultural Society of Kenya (ASK) Eldoret branch.

The annual show, scheduled to take place from 4th to 8th March 2026, is organized under the auspices of ASK, is among the region’s leading agricultural exhibitions. It serves as a platform for showcasing innovations in crop production, livestock, fisheries, agribusiness, mechanization and emerging technologies aimed at boosting food security and stimulating economic growth.

Speaking during an inspection tour of exhibition booths to assess readiness, Director of Agriculture Reuben Seroney said the department is committed to meeting all logistical, technical and exhibition requirements within the set timelines.

He noted that the county government is collaborating with ASK officials and other stakeholders to ensure the event is well-coordinated and responsive to farmers’ needs.

The 2026 show is expected to draw farmers, exhibitors, investors, development partners, financial institutions and government agencies.

Organizers say the event will provide opportunities for knowledge-sharing, networking, market linkages and promotion of value addition across agricultural value chains.

The county government reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening partnerships and advancing agricultural transformation to support sustainable livelihoods in Uasin Gishu and beyond.
