Uasin Gishu Deputy Governor H.E Evans Kapkea has tasked county staff with securing as many titles as possible at the Inter-Counties Games in Siaya County.
Speaking while flagging off the delegation of staff participating in the games, the Deputy Governor said that bringing home multiple titles would reaffirm Uasin Gishu’s reputation as a sports powerhouse.
Kapkea emphasized that Uasin Gishu should strive to excel in all areas, including discipline. He noted that the games play a vital role in promoting cohesion and cultural exchange, adding that upholding strong moral values reflects the true spirit of public service.






He officially commissioned the team ahead of the competitions scheduled for November 22–30 in Siaya County.
The Deputy Governor was accompanied by County Executives Robert Kemei (Sports) and Eng. Lucy Ng’endo (Education); Chief Officers CPA Victorine Kapkiai (Sports), Ruth Samoei (Public Service), and CPA Nathan Korir (ICT); as well as Directors Henry Mukolwe (Sports), Meshack Chemwor (Youth), and Stephen Kemoi (Education).






Uasin Gishu is the defending champion in several disciplines, including men’s and women’s volleyball, as well as athletics.
