Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii Chelilim reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to efficient, people-centered service delivery, emphasizing that the Nguzo Kumi Plan remains the county government’s guiding blueprint for sustainable development.
Speaking at a one-day directors’ workshop organized by the Department of Public Service Management (PSM) in conjunction with Kenya School of Government (KSG), the Governor said that he has confidence with the team of county directors.
“Service delivery remains at the heart of my administration’s agenda. Our directors are an integral part of our county administration, and their commitment is crucial in driving efficiency to achieve people-centered governance.” Said the county boss.
The workshop is aimed at assessing the progress and strengthening coordination for the county programs across Uasin Gishu. Governor Chelilim highlighted the success of his Nguzo Kumi Plan.

On his part, the County Secretary Phillip Meli lauded Governor Bii’s leadership, noting that closer coordination among departments has accelerated service delivery and achievement of tangible development across the county.
“The Nguzo Kumi Plan has helped us streamline operations and strengthen teamwork across all departments. We’re now seeing better results because of clearer structures and shared responsibility” said CS.
The County Executive Committee Member for Public Service Management, Janet Koech, urged directors to maintain high performance standards and ensure that public resources are utilised effectively.

“Every officer must ensure that county programs translate into real benefits for our people. That is the true spirit of public service,” she emphasized.
The event that was held at the Chebororwa Agriculture Training Centre (ATC) saw all the county directors engage and exchange ideas as they received training from the KSG officials.
