Uasin Gishu is widely known as the breadbasket of Kenya and the home of world-class athletes. Yet, we envision a county that goes beyond agriculture and athletics a county that thrives as a modern agro-industrial hub, a centre of innovation and a cultural gateway to the world.
Our elevation of Eldoret to city status in 2023 affirms this ambition.
This partnership offers a rare opportunity to merge the strengths of two regions:
Uasin Gishu’s rich agricultural resources and growing industrial base and
West Pomerania’s technological expertise, cultural heritage and access to the European Union market.
Through flagship projects such as the County Aggregation and Industrial Park (CAIP), the Eldoret Export Processing Zone (EPZ), the Eldoret Museum, the Convention Centre, agricultural modernization programs and healthcare sector expansion, we are laying the foundation for a county that not only feeds the nation but also contributes to regional trade, global cultural diplomacy and climate-smart development.
