UASIN GISHU SCALES UP HEALTH CARE WITH MAJOR MEDICAL OUTREACH IN SOY SUB-COUNTY

Uasin Gishu County, under the leadership of Governor Dr. Jonathan Bii, has intensified its efforts to improve grassroots healthcare through major medical outreach that delivered free treatment to hundreds of residents in Soy Ward.

The initiative, held at Sinonin Health Centre, was organized in partnership with Deliverance Church Eldoret and RAPHA Total Care Clinics, bringing together a team of health professionals from five countries.

Now in its second year, the outreach provided a wide range of essential medical services, including general check-ups and treatment for common ailments such as respiratory infections and arthritis offering critical support to a region with pressing health needs.

“This outreach is more than just a medical camp it is a clear demonstration of our commitment to the health and well-being of our people,” said Soy MCA Hon. Isaac Chirchir. “Through strong partnerships, we are witnessing meaningful change in the lives of our residents.”

Dr. James Ochuka of RAPHA Total Care and Deliverance Church Bishop George Gichina both emphasized the importance of health education and consistent follow-up care, urging for increased community engagement and sustained outreach efforts.

The medical camp aligns with Governor Bii’s Nguzo Kumi agenda, which prioritizes equitable access to healthcare. The continued collaboration between government, faith-based institutions, and international partners is positioning Uasin Gishu as a model for people-centered healthcare delivery in Kenya.
