Guided by the ‘Mache Biko Beko’ campaign, the County Government of Uasin Gishu—through Nguzo Number 7, is intensifying efforts to ensure residents have access to a reliable and sustainable water supply.
Today, the inspection of the completed Phase 1 of the Kapket/Kapjakir Water Project in Tembelio Ward, Moiben Sub-County, was carried out by county engineers Noah Kebenei and Abraham Metto.
The project scope included the construction of a sump, installation of a pump house, fencing of intake works, construction of a pumping main and distribution system, installation of a plastic water tank on a steel tower, and the establishment of four communal water points.

County engineers expressed satisfaction with the quality of work delivered by the contractor, noting that the infrastructure is well-built to provide long-term service to the residents of Tembelio.
The project is set to benefit more than 200 households.
Through the Department of Environment and Water, the county government is working diligently to implement the ‘Mache Biko Beko’ campaign, aiming to ensure that at least 60% of homesteads in Uasin Gishu have access to clean and reliable water.
