A delegation of Polish investors and business leaders on Tuesday began a tour of Uasin Gishu County to explore investment opportunities, with a focus on agriculture, value addition and agricultural mechanisation.
The delegation was received and accompanied by a county team led by the County Attorney Sylvester Metto; Chief Officer Mary Kerich and Director of Investment Erustus Kerich, alongside other officers from the Directorate of Investment.

The team began its tour at Buffalo Farm, associated with veteran farmer Mzee Killi, where the investors explored agricultural production, mechanisation and opportunities for value addition to enhance productivity and improve returns for farmers.
The delegation later visited Macefood, a food-processing enterprise specialising in value addition, particularly in vegetables and other food products. The visit offered an opportunity to learn about local food-processing operations and explore potential areas of collaboration in agro-processing, technology transfer and market expansion.

The team also visited railway facilities to assess transport and logistics infrastructure that could support agricultural trade, facilitate the movement of goods and strengthen links between producers and markets.
The visit forms part of Uasin Gishu County’s efforts to attract international investors and establish strategic partnerships that can stimulate economic growth, create employment and expand markets for locally produced goods.
The Polish delegation is led by Hon. Anna Bańkowska, Deputy Marshal of the West Pomeranian Region, and comprises representatives of companies operating in sectors including agricultural machinery, fertilisers, food-processing equipment, railway engineering, cybersecurity and other industries.
Through these engagements, the county seeks to showcase its agricultural potential, promote local enterprises and identify opportunities for investment in production, processing and value addition, positioning Uasin Gishu as a destination for mutually beneficial international business partnerships.
