Uasin Gishu County Executive for Youth Affairs and Sports, Robert Kemei, has applauded the progress of construction of the Chelilim Multipurpose Social Hall in Racecourse Ward.

Kemei spoke during an inspection of the project, where he assessed the progress made and the works underway.

He said the facility is being developed in line with Governor Dr Jonathan Bii’s focus on youth empowerment and talent development.

The project is expected to provide young people with platforms to nurture and showcase their talents in sports and the arts, while also creating space for community activities and engagement.

Once completed, the facility will include theatre stages for performing arts, as well as indoor games facilities, providing a platform for young people and the wider community to participate in recreational and creative activities.

Kemei said his department was working closely with the relevant teams to ensure the project is completed within the stipulated timelines.

He added that the facility is expected to contribute to the growth of the arts and sports sectors by providing a dedicated space for talent development and community activities.
