GOVERNOR BII’S TIMELY HEALTHCARE AGENDA TAKES SHAPE AS JANET KURGAT TOURS HEALTH FACILITIES

Residents of Uasin Gishu County are set to benefit from improved and timely healthcare services following a routine support supervision exercise by Health Services County Executive Committee Member Janet Kurgat at Chepkigen and Kimuri health facilities.

The visit formed part of the county’s continuous efforts to assess service delivery, identify operational gaps, and strengthen healthcare systems across all public health facilities in line with Governor Dr. Jonathan Bii’s health transformation agenda.

Speaking during the tour, Kurgat reiterated Governor Bii’s unwavering commitment to ensuring residents have access to quality, affordable, and timely healthcare services. She noted that the county administration remains focused on strengthening health infrastructure, equipping facilities, and supporting healthcare workers to deliver efficient services.

“The Governor is committed to ensuring every resident receives quality healthcare without unnecessary delays. Through these routine support supervision visits, we can monitor service delivery, address challenges on the ground, and continuously improve patient care,” said Kurgat.

She emphasized that support supervision is not merely an inspection exercise but a collaborative engagement aimed at empowering healthcare workers, enhancing accountability, and ensuring facilities operate at the highest standards.

During the visit, the CECM inspected key service delivery areas, engaged healthcare workers, and reviewed the availability of essential medical supplies, staffing levels, patient flow, and general facility operations. She encouraged staff to maintain professionalism, embrace teamwork, and uphold high standards of patient-centered care.

Kurgat further assured them of the county government’s continued support in creating an enabling environment for quality healthcare delivery.

The support supervision exercise reflects Uasin Gishu County’s commitment to continuous quality improvement as the Department of Health Services intensifies efforts to strengthen primary healthcare and ensure uninterrupted health services across all county health facilities.

The County Government, under the leadership of Governor Jonathan Bii Chelilim, continues to prioritize investments in the health sector as part of its broader agenda of building a resilient healthcare system that guarantees accessible, efficient, and responsive medical services for all residents.
