The County Department of Health Services has reaffirmed its commitment to delivering quality, patient-centered and uninterrupted healthcare services following an engagement that brought together the Health Management Team, Sub-County Management Teams and Facility Managers to chart the way forward on improving service delivery across all public health facilities.
The meeting was led by Clinical Services Chief Officer Ambrose Tarus alongside Ag. Chief Officer for Promotive and Preventive Health, Dr. Billy Lubanga, who challenged health managers to embrace teamwork, accountability and innovation in ensuring residents continue to receive timely and quality healthcare services.
Speaking during the engagement, Chief Officer Ambrose Tarus emphasized that the strength of the county’s health system lies in effective leadership at every level of service delivery. He urged facility managers to remain committed to providing uninterrupted essential health services and other critical healthcare interventions.
Tarus noted that continuous collaboration between the county leadership, sub-county management teams and facility managers is key to addressing emerging challenges, improving efficiency and enhancing patient satisfaction.


Ag. Chief Officer for Promotive and Preventive Health, Dr. Billy Lubanga, underscored the importance of preventive and promotive healthcare in building a resilient health system. He called on health managers to strengthen coordination, uphold quality standards and ensure that every health facility remains responsive to the needs of the communities they serve.
The health leadership further encouraged managers to foster teamwork among healthcare workers, enhance communication and take ownership of their respective facilities to improve performance and service outcomes.
The engagement also provided a platform for reviewing service delivery, sharing best practices and discussing practical strategies for addressing operational challenges while maintaining uninterrupted healthcare services across the county.
