COUNTY, NYS ROADS REHABILITATION PROGRAM ON, TEAMS PREPARE TO MOVE TO KARUNA MEIBEKI WARD, MOIBEN SUB COUNTY

Uasin Gishu County Chief Officer for Roads, Transport and Public Works, Geoffrey Tanui, has commended the National Youth Service (NYS) team in collaboration with the county roads engineers and inspectors for the achievements realized during the roads implementation program that began in Soy Ward.

“As we now focus on starting work in Karuna Meibeki ward, I would like to thank you for the discipline you’ve shown. I hope the same spirit will continue as we move forward, “Said Tanui.

The chief officer, accompanied by the Director of the roads department, Engineer Julius Ronoh and his Deputy Eng Linus Yego, also thanked the community members in Kesogon and other places for the good cooperation that enabled the team to work smoothly.

The residents hailed the team for the good work, which will not only enhance the road network but also boost agricultural activities in the area and other neighbouring wards.

Through the rapid results approach (RRI) initiative, Governor Dr. Jonathan Bii and his administration aim to ensure that many roads that were damaged by heavy rains in the previous season are rehabilitated before another rainfall season begins this year.
