ROUTINE ROAD MAINTENANCE IN UASIN GISHU

A robust road infrastructure plays a crucial role in boosting trade and attracting investment in both rural and urban areas across the world.

Uasin Gishu County Executive Committee Member for Roads, Abraham Serem, has affirmed that H.E. Governor Dr. Jonathan Bii continues to enhance programs aimed at opening new roads and maintaining existing ones.

On Monday, Serem led a team on an inspection tour of recently completed grading and gravelling works in Kapsoya Ward.

The roads inspected include St. Theresa Catholic Church–Moira Road, Silas Stage–Transformer Road, Tumaini–Marura Road, Murkomen Road, and Olives–The Pearl Road.

Rebecca Mong’are, a resident, expressed her gratitude, noting that many schools had previously increased transportation fees by KSh 1,000 due to the poor state of roads following the long rains that had caused extensive damage.
