“We are committed to working hand-in-hand with KMTC and the National Government to ensure that the Burnt Forest KMTC is operational. This facility is vital for our community, and we will provide the necessary teaching staff to kick-start its operations,” Dr. Serem stated during the discussions.

His remarks underscored the county’s commitment to enhancing healthcare services through education and training.

Hon. Chepkonga echoed Dr. Serem’s sentiments, stressing the need for collective efforts in mobilizing resources to support the Governor’s agenda for improving healthcare accessibility.

“The opening of the Burnt Forest KMTC is a significant step forward for our children and the community at large and we must pool our resources and work together to ensure that this facility not only opens on time but also thrives in its mission to train the next generation of healthcare professionals,” he said.

The new KMTC is poised to offer a range of critical healthcare courses, including nursing, dentistry, orthopaedic and trauma care, clinical medicine, and medical laboratory sciences.

With the strategically located Burnt Forest Sub-County Hospital, the yet-to-be-commissioned facility is expected to provide hands-on training for students, equipping them with the necessary skills to address the community’s various health challenges.
