Up to 50 youth from Uasin Gishu are currently being equipped with skills in digital literacy and online work readiness.

The program, done by the Ministry of ICT’s Ajira Digital in collaboration with the County Department of ICT and Innovation, primarily seeks to equip youth with skills to tap into the available opportunities in the digital space.

The opportunities in the digital space are essay writing, research assignments, web designs and such tasks.

Magdalene Jepkemboi from Ajira Digital says the February 28th and 29th cohort targets up to 50 youth. Another training will also be undertaken first week of March.

Department of ICT’s training and capacity building officer, Georgina Rono, coordinated the training currently underway at Kenya Library Services in Eldoret.
