COUNTY SENSITIZES PUBLIC ON REVENUE COMPLIANCE AS LICENSE DEADLINE LAPSES APRIL 30TH

The Directorate of Revenue Management under the Department of Finance is currently sensitizing the public on the need and importance of complying by having their licenses and permits ahead of the deadline that will lapse on Tuesday, April 30th, 2024 at midnight.

According to Director for Revenue Management CPA Jonah Lamai, the exercise is aimed at sensitizing the business community and land owners to ensure they fully comply.

“I call on clients who have taken invoices without paying to ensure they pay before the day ends because there will be a 50% penalty on all licenses. We will also commence compliance on 2nd May 2024 in all the revenue streams,” added Lamai.

The County Government aims to collect at least sh1.4 billion in revenue from across the revenue streams by the end of the financial year, 30th June 2024.
