COUNTY PARTNERING WITH STAKEHOLDERS TO TAILOR PROGRAMS FOR YOUTH

The County Government of Uasin Gishu is working with partners to expand, craft and improve youth programs and policies.

County Executive for Youth Affairs, Eng Lucy Ng’endo,while speaking during a youth training organized by SOS Children Villages, said non-governmental organizations have been working with the County in various programs.

The County has been working with organizations to engineer programs. The Youth Policy which is awaiting gazettement to become law, is one product of public-private partnership.

Currently, the Department of Youth Affairs is running a program where organizations in the agriculture sector, conduct training for youth groups, to make youth embrace agriculture.

Directors Meshack Chemwor (Youth Affairs) and Peter Ruto (Social Services) attended the training held on Tuesday in Eldoret.
