The County Government of Uasin Gishu on Tuesday received a generous donation of over 14,000 pieces of diapers from H.E. Mama Rachel Ruto with an aim to support new mothers and realize enhanced maternal and child health within the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Receiving the diapers which was a fulfilment of a pledge made during the launch of the Mama Rachel Ruto Maternity Hospital, Uasin Gishu First Lady H.E. Salina Bii expressed gratitude for the donation and highlighted the significant impact the newly launched facility has had on the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Since the establishment of the Mama Rachel Ruto Maternity Hospital, we have witnessed an influx of clients, with over 500 mothers delivering their babies and 45 surgical procedures conducted,” she noted.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Representing H.E. Mama Rachel Ruto at the event, Joan shared insights into the First Lady’s commitment to maternal and child health stating that Mama Rachel Ruto is deeply passionate about supporting mothers and has initiated various empowerment programs aimed at benefiting women across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The First Lady’s concern for maternal and child health is evident in her decision to support 36 mothers with diapers for an entire year, as well as monitor the children’s welfare therefore we will deliver the diapers in quarters to ensure that mothers giving birth receive ongoing support,” said Joan.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

On her part, Clinical Services Chief Officer, highlighted the friendly and safe services provided at the Mama Rachel Ruto Maternity Hospital noting that the facility prioritizes maternal and child healthcare to prevent mortalities, and as a referral centre for the county and beyond they have seen a steady increase in the number of clients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CO also noted that with the support from the First Lady’s office, they are confident that the mothers will be able to enhance their hygiene and cater to their children’s needs more effectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Mama Rachel Ruto Maternity Hospital offers a range of essential services, including outpatient care, gynaecological outpatient services, surgeries, pediatric care, family planning, antenatal follow-ups, and cervical cancer screening.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
