County Executive Committee Member for Trade Industrialization, Tourism and Cooperatives Martha Cheruto on Tuesday hosted a delegation from the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They deliberated on mechanisms that will help incorporate potential investors and the private sector to help in the operationalization and site familiarization of the County Aggregation and Industrial Park (CAIP).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The national and the county governments is establishing 38 CAIPs across the country intending to enhance and unleash the potential in both manufacturing and agricultural sectors to realize an increase in farmer’s income, creation of job employment and export of agro-processed products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the meeting, the CECM maintained that the intention of the governors in the creation of these industries was to promote industrialization in the counties noting that Governor Jonathan Bii is very passionate about its operationalization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The Governor has this project at heart and he is willing to go out of the way to see it operational so that it can benefit both traders and farmers of the county through aggregation and value addition” said Cheruto<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

According to Daniel Rono, Director for Field Services, State Department of Industry, 38 counties are set to implement the CAIPs projects and the need to incorporate investors in running these industries is of key importance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said the ministry is inviting eligible firms, manufacturers, and investors to express interest in the position of supplying machinery to the CAIPs to help in the aggregation and processing of agricultural products, provision of logistics and e-commerce to ease access to markets among other key areas that will facilitate the operationalization.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
