The County Government of Uasin Gishu has received over 1000 eyeglasses from Lenexa Baptist Church in the United States of America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

County Chief Officer for Clinical Services Chief Officer Dr. Joyce Sang received donations at Huruma Sub-County Hospital on Tuesday. This marks a significant milestone in the county’s ongoing efforts to support residents needing optical assistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Amidst the notable donation, it was revealed that a considerable number of individuals in Uasin Gishu County have been grappling with visual impairments, particularly cataracts, a prevalent condition among the elderly population. Providing reading glasses and other essential eye care resources is poised to alleviate the burden on affected individuals and enhance their quality of life through improved vision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the donation handover, Dr. Sang expressed gratitude for the partnership with the Lenexa Baptist Church, emphasizing the positive impact it has already begun to have on the residents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She also noted that many beneficiaries were fitted with eyeglasses during the medical drive, with additional referrals made for those requiring specialized interventions, underscoring the comprehensive approach taken to address diverse eye health concerns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“During the medical camp in Kaptuiyot AIC, we screened and prescribed 523 clients and offered the reading glasses to those requiring it however we discovered a common condition among the elderly as being the cataract “said the CO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
