Governor Dr. Jonathan Bii has underlined his government’s commitment to bringing forth a positive societal paradigm in Uasin Gishu County. This is attained by empowering the youth by supporting their expertise and promoting self-reliance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Bii says that by empowering and harnessing the pillar of youth empowerment, society will realize economic growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Our youth are the most energetic and zealous, and under my manifesto, I am empowering them because I know in the long run.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Their (youth) success will positively impact the society,” said Dr. Bii.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The Governor spoke as he launched the distribution of youth and sports empowerment equipment on Monday. He was flanked by Members of the County Assembly, Isaac Tamogei (Soy), Amos Kiptanui (Racecourse), Gilbert Chepkong’a (Ainabkoi\/Olare), Moses Kebenei (Simat\/Kapseret), David Letting (Kipkenyo), James Serem (Karuna\/Meibeki) and Patrick Kimaiyo (Moi’s Bridge).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The equipment, being car wash machines, posho mills, blow driers, sewing machines, brush cutters, tents, barber machines, sound systems accessories, football balls and nets, are to benefit youth groups in various Wards.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

County Executive for Youth Affairs and Sports, Eng. Lucy Ng’endo, and her Chief Officer, Jelagat Tirop, said they are committed to implementing youth empowerment programs. Directors and officers attended the event.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
