Uasin Gishu Deputy Governor Eng. John Barorot has noted the importance of prioritizing data protection in medical health facilities to enhance client confidentiality and boost their self-esteem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eng Barorot who spoke during a visit to West Maternity Health Facility in Kiplombe Ward, called on the health providers to safeguard patient information by emphasizing the need for automation of services to streamline operations and improve accessibility to medical records.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I want to stress the crucial role of data protection in maintaining the trust and confidence of clients in the healthcare system because by ensuring the secure handling of sensitive information, medical staff can not only uphold patient confidentiality but also contribute to a positive patient experience and promote a culture of respect and professionalism within healthcare facilities,” said Eng Barorot.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The Deputy Governor further emphasized the importance of automating services across all medical facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“By implementing automation systems, healthcare providers can enhance efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness in service delivery. This includes ensuring easy accessibility to client records, maintaining up-to-date facility records such as patient numbers and drug monitoring, and streamlining administrative processes for improved patient care,” added Eng Barorot.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The County Government of Uasin Gishu has initiated plans to embrace technology and train staff on digital tools as the future of healthcare services moves towards automation, this will, in turn, be cost-effective by reducing reliance on traditional paper-based systems, such as registers, and improving operational efficiency within healthcare facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Deputy Governor also championed for the West Maternity Health Facility to expand its services to cater to all employees who traditionally seek medical care at referral hospitals like Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) and private facilities by noting the significant investments made by the County in diagnostics and medical equipment at the facility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Health Services, CECM Dr Abraham Serem plans to have the facility officially unveiled in top gear since they have fully equipped the 70-bed capacity health facility with state-of-the-art modern equipment, theatre, ICU and HDU units.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chief of Staff Nicholas Chepkwony together with Clinical Services Chief Officer Dr Joyce Sang noted that by embracing digital solutions and investing in healthcare infrastructure, the County aims to advance its healthcare system, foster innovation, and ensure equitable access to quality medical services for all residents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
