The Department of Energy, Environment, Natural Resources and Climate Change on Tuesday carried out a sensitization meeting for beekeeping farmers in Kiplombe Ward ahead of the implementation of the Financing Locally Led Climate Action (FLLoCA) projects across the county.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting aimed at educating and raising awareness among beekeepers about best practices in beekeeping, environmental conservation, and sustainable apiary management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Participants were trained by Sub County Livestock officers Mr Richard Soy and John Melly who took their time to expound on the importance of bees in ecosystems, the benefits of beekeeping, and how to improve bee health and productivity.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, they learnt more on hive management, pest and disease control, and marketing strategies for beekeeping products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Mr Soy, the initiative is a valuable opportunity for beekeepers to enhance their knowledge and skills in beekeeping while promoting environmental stewardship in the community.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
