Governor Dr Jonathan Bii on Friday hosted a delegation of investors from South Korea, led by Mr Lim Dino of Jabali Co Ltd (Korea) and Ambassador-designate to the Republic of Korea, Amb. Prof. Emmy Kipsoi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The team expressed interest in partnering with the County Government of Uasin Gishu to promote the country’s coffee and provide a market in South Korea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Governor Dr Bii lauded the discussions and assured his support for the initiative, emphasizing the potential of coffee farming as a vital driver of the local economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Governor also encouraged stakeholders to collaborate in raising public awareness about the value of producing top-quality coffee products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The strategic partnership between Uasin Gishu County and South Korean investors in the coffee sector signifies a step towards leveraging international markets, promoting sustainable agricultural practices, and enhancing economic opportunities for local coffee farmers,” said Dr Bii<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

“We are here to educate farmers on the significance of maintaining coffee quality,” emphasized one of the delegates from Korea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the courtesy meeting at Governor Bii’s office, the delegation got to engage with farmers to understand the perspectives and needs of the local farmers ahead of the collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
