The County Government of Uasin Gishu is working on a partnership with Nairobi-based business Incubator iHub to expand in digital learning solution for ECDE learners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“This is a timely partnership as it comes when the county is pushing for digitization of Early Childhood learning. It will be a groundbreaking collaboration aimed at revolutionizing the education technology,” says County Chief Officer for Education, Marion Birgen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CO made the remarks when she hosted a tech team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We are looking forward to still engaging more. The bottom line is a partnership in training teachers to enable them to use and embrace technology and also help model ECDEs very well,” Marion added.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

She also expressed optimism that the partnership will play a crucial role in terms of quality teaching and learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She noted that “when a teacher is prepared the pupil will get the benefit.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, the Chief Officer said the county was keen on taking a notch higher in digital learning, affirming that it was committed to coming up with digital learning that aligns with the Governor Dr. Jonathan Bii EGH Manifesto on pillar number five.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We are glad that technology in schools is narrowing down to training teachers. We are going to come up with a framework on how to implement it to make teachers more effective with the use of technology,” she said.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

iHub through the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation(BMGF) Sub-saharan Education Fund (SEF) is seeking to provide capital and support to catalyse innovation in the Sub-Saharan Africa EdTech ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nissi Madu, iHub Kenya Managing partner said: “We are seeking to achieve learning outcomes and foster digital skills through solutions, improving curriculum, teaching, learning, and assessment in Uasin Gishu county, by partnering to pilot edt_ch solutions in schools.”<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Madu noted that their programs and products focus on leveraging technology to improve learning outcomes in education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
