County Public Service Board Chair Franscisca Boen on Wednesday hosted officials from Kenya Medical Practitioners, Pharmacists and Dentists Union (KMPDU) in a meeting that centred on doctors’ promotions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting marked a significant step towards addressing the concerns of healthcare professionals and career advancements saw Ms Boen pledging to delve deeper into the issues at hand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She pledged the board’s commitment to looking into the matters further calling for stakeholder engagement in the planning of healthcare matters that underscored a proactive approach to addressing the challenges faced by healthcare workers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“By acknowledging the importance of involving all relevant parties in the decision-making process, we will foster collaborative efforts towards finding sustainable solutions,” said Ms Boen.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Health Services County Executive Committee Member Dr Abraham Serem noted that promotions are crucial for the morale and professional development of doctors, as they not only recognize their contributions and achievements but also provide them with opportunities for growth and advancement in their careers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said that the union’s meeting served as a platform for open dialogue and constructive discussions on the promotion policies and practices within the healthcare sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“This meeting has provided an opportunity for doctors to voice their concerns and suggestions, as well as for the County Public Service Board to have an insight into the challenges posed by healthcare professionals,” said Dr Serem.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

On his part, County Public Service Board Vice Chair Paul Lagat noted that it is essential for all stakeholders including government officials, healthcare providers, and regulatory bodies to work together towards creating a supportive and conducive environment for doctors to thrive in their careers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
