Uasin Gishu Deputy Governor, Engineer John Barorot, on Thursday, chaired a meeting with the County Management to strategize and prepare for the prestigious Eldoret City charter award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Addressing the Heads of Departments, the DG urged collaboration to formulate impactful programs that will not only resonate with the residents but also seamlessly align towards the award ceremony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We must be thoroughly prepared for the day of the award. Each department needs to devise programs that positively impact the wananchi and seamlessly complement the significance of the event,” emphasized the DG.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

County Secretary Edwin Bett elaborated on the importance of a comprehensive approach, calling upon the team to engage stakeholders at every level, from local villages to international partners, ensuring the success of the momentous occasion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“All relevant departments should engage participants and stakeholders, both at the county and international levels, to grace the occasion,” urged Bett.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“As we approach the D-day,we need to re-organise our City,beautify all the entry and exit points and work on traffic control system for the CBD” Said Dr. Janeth Kosgey,the CEC Member for Lands, Housing, physical planning and urban development.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Engineer Lucy Ng’endo, the County Executive Member for Sports, proposed the inclusion of the Champions Run, where the victor would be rewarded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Eldoret City is rightfully known as the City of Champions, and it would be fitting for our champions to showcase their prowess before the award ceremony, affirming our status as true champions,” expressed Ng’endo.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
