UASIN GISHU STUDENTS BENEFIT FROM THE KCB FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>At least 22 needy students from Uasin Gishu County have a reason to smile after they secured a four-year scholarship for their secondary school education from the Kenya Commercial Bank Foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>The 22 received their scholarships on Wednesday in an event attended by County Executive Committee Member for Education, Mr Anthony Sitienei.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking at the event, Sitienei thanked the KCB foundation for supporting the needy students within the county.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure benefited from the initiative to focus on performing better at school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, the Executive asked parents to take responsibility for instilling discipline in their children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He expressed concerns that some students who benefit from scholarships end up dropping out of school for pregnancy and other indiscipline cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure Russo, CEO of KCB Group in a speech read by Erick Suprianoh, the Branch Manager of KCB Eldoret, said their support is based on the understanding that a key pillar for success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>Russo further said KCB Foundation has been working with the county under the leadership of Governor Jonathan Bii to annually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the program, 100 slots are reserved for persons with disability with 50 per cent of the total slots
