Trade, Industrialization and Tourism Chief Officer Geoffrey Tanui on Thursday hosted a team from Kenya Tourism Board (KTB) led by Cynthia Kinyeru on a courtesy call where they discussed the endorsement of tourism experience and content packaging for Uasin Gishu County.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Uasin Gishu County is among 15 counties that were selected by KTB on matters sector; content packaging with an aim of visibility of their unique attractions and experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tanui lauded the board for considering Uasin Gishu as one of the counties that has various untapped tourism potentials, urging them to focus on sports tourism, mice tourism and water base tourism among others.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

According to Kinyeru, KTB is dedicated to promoting Kenya’s diverse tourism destinations both domestically and internationally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We are also in this county for the creation of a video message that will endorse tourism experience and attraction fostering local pride and support,” said Kinyeru.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Later the team led by Tourism Director Margaret Aiyabei visited a traditional herbal sauna where middle and aged people receive treatment for various ailments by inhaling natural heat blended with a variety of tested herbs<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

According to Richard Kosgei, Director Sauna, the steamed traditional herbs have helped many people across the country urging the county residents especially those battling diabetes, high blood pressure, and arthritis among other serious conditions to visit the facility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The facility which is located opposite brookside receives over 200 patients daily.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
