He said that in today&#8217;s world, agriculture is not just a means of subsistence but also a potential source of income,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;It is essential for farmers to adopt a business mindset to succeed in this field,&#8221; said Sawe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The CECM Sawe further noted the significance of record-keeping for farmers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>Keeping track of expenses, revenues, and profits enables farmers to have a clear understanding of the financial aspects of their business,&#8221; said Sawe.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Sawe acknowledged the favourable soil conditions in the region that make farmers diversify their agricultural activities and explore different crops that could thrive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CECM Sawe also took the opportunity to praise the hard work and dedication of the officers in the department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He stressed that trees play a crucial role in mitigating climate change and promoting biodiversity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>As a Department, we want to express our support for the initiative to plant oil crops and I want to encourage you as residents to embrace the cultivation of these crops so that you can benefit economically from oil crops, such as avocado,&#8221;
