In return, the county will provide office space and equip it with internet connectivity to enhance the provision of these critical services to residents.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n Speaking today after attending a meeting with the national steering committee on the implementation of the Alternative Justice System policy in Eldoret, Deputy Governor Eng. John Barorot expressed his approval of the judiciary’s initiative and emphasized timely collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n “We are pleased that the judiciary is committed to providing justice to people at the grassroots level, and our county’s role will be to act as a catalyst and enabler of a smooth process by providing office space and connectivity,” he said.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n He further observed that once the Alternative Justice System is operationalized in all sub-counties, its impact will be significant, allowing beneficiaries to have their concerns addressed within the comfort of their communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Presiding Judge Justice Reuben Nyakundi explained that the rollout of the alternative justice system is in response to the growing need for justice and is by the Constitution.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n “We recognized the need to partner with Uasin Gishu County to offer an alternative means of accessing justice, which is part of the multiple approaches to resolving disputes,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The meeting was attended by Mr. Edwin Bett (County Secretary), Ronald Kiprop (Legal Advisor), Ambrose Tarus (Chief Officer \u2013 Public Service Management), Mr. Josphat Rotich (Human Resource), Hon.
