{"id":4444,"date":"2023-08-19T17:15:00","date_gmt":"2023-08-19T14:15:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uasingishu.go.ke\/?p=4444"},"modified":"2023-08-21T21:21:53","modified_gmt":"2023-08-21T18:21:53","slug":"eldoret-rescue-centre-receives-blankets-mattresses-and-shoes-from-empty-vessels","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/uasingishu.go.ke\/index.php\/eldoret-rescue-centre-receives-blankets-mattresses-and-shoes-from-empty-vessels","title":{"rendered":"ELDORET RESCUE CENTRE RECEIVES BLANKETS, MATTRESSES AND SHOES FROM EMPTY VESSELS"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The County Government of Uasin Gishu has expressed willingness to continue working with various partners to ensure children at the Eldoret Rescue Centre are brought up in a conducive environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the partnership, the rescue centre on Saturday received a donation of 100 blankets and 200 mattresses from Kenknit, through the Empty Vessels Foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking during the receipt of the donations, Social Protection Director Meshack Chemwor said the move will go a long way towards ensuring children at the facility have access to their Constitutional rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chemwor said currently, the Eldoret Rescue Centre has over 100 children and another 110 who are under rehabilitation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>&#8220;We appreciate Empty Vessels for their continued support and Governor Jonathan Bii for the support and environment to attract partners to ensure children access constitutional rights,&#8221; the Director said.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We also appreciate Empty Vessels as they continue to bring partners to support the facility with food, clothing and beddings,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1368\" height=\"912\" data-id=\"4447\" src=\"https:\/\/uasingishu.go.ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/WhatsApp-Image-2023-08-19-at-5.23.32-PM.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4447\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1368\" height=\"912\" data-id=\"4448\" src=\"https:\/\/uasingishu.go.ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/WhatsApp-Image-2023-08-19-at-5.23.34-PM.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4448\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Empty Vessels Ambassador Bianca Wardwell who is based in Florida, United States assured that she will continue supporting the facility for the benefit of the children it houses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;I call this my second home and it&#8217;s my hope for each of these children to feel like a human being; to feel loved, wanted and live in a healthy way,&#8221; she said, adding that she looks forward to coming back over and over again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>David Magut, Rescue Centre Acting Manager were in attendance.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The County Government of Uasin Gishu has expressed willingness to continue working with various partners to ensure children at the Eldoret Rescue Centre are brought up in a conducive environment.
