Governor Jonathan Bii Chelilim has affirmed his administration\u2019s commitment to supporting nurturing and growth of talents amongst the young in society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking during the Governor\u2019s gala at Eldoret Municipality Hall on Monday, Governor Bii said he will continue to invest in the sector for a better tomorrow for young men and women.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the event, various teams that will be representing the county in the upcoming regional music festivals performed in front of the county boss.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt\u2019s an honour to stand before you and share the pride and joy that fills the air,\u201d Bii said.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMusic is a universal language that connects hearts, and has the power to uplift and bring people together,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Governor further noted that music festivals recognize the value of arts in education by fostering critical thinking, discipline and teamwork which are crucial for the success of an individual in various aspects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe remain committed to providing an environment that will promote arts. We will invest and enhance the music department to create a platform for our young learners to showcase their skills,\u201d he noted.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

On her part, County Executive Committee Member for Education, Vocational Training, Culture, Gender and Social Protection Dr. Janeth Kosgei hailed teachers and all that had played a role in the success of the students that will be participating in the regional festivals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She challenged them to work hard and focus on being the best in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI salute teachers who have worked with the learners and wish them the best in the regional games,\u201d said the CECM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
