{"id":3751,"date":"2023-07-05T14:15:18","date_gmt":"2023-07-05T14:15:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/102.216.155.83\/uasingishuweb\/?p=3751"},"modified":"2023-07-05T14:15:24","modified_gmt":"2023-07-05T14:15:24","slug":"county-hosts-commission-on-revenue-allocation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/uasingishu.go.ke\/index.php\/county-hosts-commission-on-revenue-allocation","title":{"rendered":"COUNTY HOSTS COMMISSION ON REVENUE ALLOCATION"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>County Executive Committee Member for Finance Mr. Micah Rogony, Tuesday 4th July, at Uasin Gishu County headquarters, chaired a meeting with the Commission on Revenue Allocation( CRA). The CRA delegation is conducting a 3-day review of the county&#8217;s expenditure and the impact of devolution on service delivery over the last 5 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the meeting, presentations from various sections including County Executive Committee Members, Chief Officers and directors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>County Executive Member ( CECM) for Health Dr. Sam Kotut reported that there has been an increase in deliveries over the years since the inception of devolution to date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>&#8220;In line with that, the County is in the process of purchasing new equipment to increase the health sector service delivery which has led to the development of health facilities,&#8221; said Dr. Kotut.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>The health boss further noted that the number of dispensaries had increased and is evenly distributed within the 30 Wards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Currently, the County has 15 fully functional ambulances that have increased over the years,&#8221; added Kotut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1599\" height=\"1066\" src=\"http:\/\/102.216.155.83\/uasingishuweb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/WhatsApp-Image-2023-07-04-at-10.56.38-AM.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3753\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Kotut further added that the County has also partnered with the Kenya Medical Training Training (KMTC) to promote the training of staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>CECM for Agriculture Mr. Edward Sawe reported that his department has held various programs to promote agricultural sectors in the County<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Development partners such as KSCAP managed to partner with the County in promoting agriculture development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CECM for Water Dr. Abraham Serem reported that over 700 water projects have been built over the past 10 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>&#8220;To date the County has drilled over 176 boreholes and managed to achieve access to water up to 1km distance,&#8221; said Serem.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Commissioner Khadija Juma commended the County&#8217;s efforts and significant strides since the inception of devolution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tomorrow, the team will visit various projects undertaken by the County to assess the quality of work and how they impact service delivery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The County Secretary Mr. Edwin Bett was also present.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>County Executive Committee Member for Finance Mr. Micah Rogony, Tuesday 4th July, at Uasin Gishu County headquarters, chaired a meeting with the Commission on Revenue Allocation( CRA).
