INTEGRATED WATER PROJECT SET TO TRANSFORM LIVES IN TULWET CHUIYAT WARD"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Lamaiywet Integrated Water Project in Tulwet Chuiyat Ward, Kesses Sub-County, is steadily taking shape, raising hopes of improved access to reliable water for households and three schools in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The project, being implemented under the Financing Locally-Led Climate Action (FLLoCA) initiative, is expected to transform the lives of local residents while strengthening the community\u2019s resilience to the effects of climate change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once completed, the project will help address water shortages, particularly during prolonged dry spells, by providing a more reliable and sustainable water supply to the targeted beneficiaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The scope of works includes the supply and installation of a water pump, environmental conservation through tree planting, installation of a solar power system, construction of a sump, ground-level masonry tank and pump house, as well as the installation of pumping and water distribution mains and communal water points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During a recent site inspection, Engineer Haron Kiprotich and Climate Change Unit (CCU) Officer Ann Chepkoech engaged workers at the project site and assessed the progress of the works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The officers emphasized the importance of adhering to the required standards and specifications to ensure the project is completed to quality standards and remains sustainable for the long term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Lamaiywet project is part of the county\u2019s broader efforts to improve water access and build climate resilience across communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Under Nguzo Number 7, the Water Sector has recorded significant progress, with more than 100 water projects, including flagship, ward-level and FLLoCA-funded projects , currently being implemented across the county.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The ongoing investments are expected to bring communities in Uasin Gishu County closer to reliable and
