County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Health Services Janet Kurgat has challenged health facility management committees to prioritize patient safety and quality healthcare services as they steer public health institutions towards becoming the best-performing facilities in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking during the induction training of the Pioneer Health Facility Committee, Kurgat emphasized that the success of healthcare facilities depends on strong leadership, sound governance and unwavering commitment to ethical service delivery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She urged committee members to faithfully adhere to existing laws, policies and regulations while upholding the highest standards of confidentiality, integrity, accountability and professionalism in the discharge of their duties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Health CECM further encouraged the board members to embrace respectful communication, foster teamwork and work closely with healthcare workers to create an environment that delivers safe, efficient and patient-centered services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clinical Services Chief Officer Ambrose Tarus challenged the newly inducted committee to develop a comprehensive five-year strategic plan that will provide a clear roadmap for the facility’s growth and improved healthcare delivery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He further advised the committee to prioritize the solarization of the health facility to ensure uninterrupted services during power blackouts, noting that reliable electricity is critical in supporting essential medical services and safeguarding patient care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tarus also called on the committee members to serve with dignity and respect while observing proper governance structures by following established communication channels and consulting relevant authorities whenever necessary to enhance effective decision-making.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He noted that adherence to proper procedures and teamwork would enable the committee to deliver lasting improvements and provide quality healthcare services to the community throughout their tenure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking on behalf of the facility committee, Board Chairperson Edwin Lel thanked the County Government for organizing the induction programme, saying it had equipped members with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively execute their mandate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
