The County Department of Devolution, Administration, Public Service Management, Partnerships, Liaison and Linkages has intensified efforts to strengthen accountability and improve service delivery through a Performance Review and Performance Contract Target Setting Meeting for the 2026\/2027 Financial Year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking during the session, County Executive Committee Member Mrs. Loice Murrey described performance contracting as the engine that drives daily operations, noting that it serves as both a compass and a mirror for measuring the department’s commitment to achieving its mandate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She urged officers to provide credible evidence when evaluating the department’s performance for the third and fourth quarters of the 2025\/2026 Financial Year and emphasized that the new performance contract targets must be aligned with the approved budget, departmental mandate and service charter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mrs. Murrey also called for increased investment in capacity building, saying a skilled workforce is essential for effective service delivery. She challenged staff to take full ownership of their responsibilities and uphold discipline in executing their duties.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Chief Officer for Public Service Management Dr. Paul Wangwe commended the department for its growing efficiency and encouraged officers to remain focused on aligning their work with the county’s performance management framework.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He noted that reviewing the previous two quarters would help identify areas for improvement while ensuring everyone is on course to achieve the department’s targets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Assistant Director for Performance Management Wilfred Nyabando urged officers to fully understand their performance contracts and work collaboratively throughout the implementation process, emphasizing that cooperation is key to delivering the department’s objectives and improving service delivery to the people of Uasin Gishu County.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
