The County Government of Uasin Gishu on Monday launched Phase Two of the Stima Mashinani programme in Ainabkoi Sub-County under Nguzo Number 7, which focuses on infrastructure and energy development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The launch was led by Governor Dr Jonathan Bii and flanked by County Executives Anthony Sitienei ( Energy, Environment and Natural Resources), Robert Kemei (Youth and Sports) and Chief Officer Mr Mark Some (Climate Change and Energy), as well as Director of Energy Dr Silas Leting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The delegation visited several project sites, including Grey Stone Village in Tarakwa Ward, Koitebes Village and Emgwen Village in Cheptiret\/Kipchamo Ward, and Kewet in Ainabkoi\/Olare Ward, where residents are expected to benefit from the rural electrification programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The projects form part of 22 Stima Mashinani projects being implemented across the county and are expected to benefit more than 1200 residents through improved access to electricity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking during the launch, Governor Bii said the programme is aimed at transforming the livelihoods of residents through increased electricity connectivity in rural areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are committed to ensuring that every village gets connected to electricity because power connectivity opens opportunities for businesses, education, security, and better living standards for our people,\u201d said Governor Bii.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr Sitienei noted that the county is focused on accelerating the implementation of the projects to ensure residents benefit within the expected timelines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThese projects are part of the county government\u2019s commitment under Nguzo Number 7 to expand energy access and ensure no community is left behind in development,\u201d said Sitienei.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was reaffirmed that the Stima Mashinani initiative remains a key pillar in improving infrastructure and promoting equitable development across all wards in Uasin Gishu County.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
