The Stima Mashinani electrification program has entered a new phase, marking a significant step forward in efforts to expand power access across Uasin Gishu County.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The initiative, a matching fund partnership between the County Government of Uasin Gishu and the Rural Electrification and Renewable Energy Corporation (REREC), aims to increase electricity connectivity from the current estimated 65 percent to more than 95 percent by 2030.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exercise has gained momentum following the official flagging off of Phase Two projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Phase Two is expected to have a broader reach than the initial rollout, targeting more villages at the grassroots level. In total, 11 new electrification projects are set for implementation across multiple wards.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The areas earmarked for connection include Irong Farm in Ainabkoi Sub-county; Sambur in Kapseret; Koitebes Emgwen in Kesses; Kaptumbu, Ngoisa, Saramek and Tarakwa Soin\/Kapkatet in Soy; RCEA Kipnyigei and Kabitoi Village in Moiben; and Kapsaos Murgor and Tiret Tegeiya in Turbo Sub-county.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More than 800 households are expected to benefit from the Phase II program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Officials say the expansion of electricity access is set to accelerate rural economic growth by boosting small businesses, supporting digital and remote work opportunities, and enhancing value addition for locally produced goods.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
