The County Government of Uasin Gishu has officially flagged off the \u201cLeseni Mashinani\u201d initiative, a grassroots revenue mobilization campaign aimed at enhancing service delivery and strengthening engagement between the county government and residents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The launch was held at Uasin Gishu Service Center, presided over by the County Executive Committee Member for Roads and Public Works, Dr. Abraham Serem, who represented Governor Jonathan Bii.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Serem described the occasion as a significant milestone in the county\u2019s development agenda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis initiative positions us as the nerve center of transformative service delivery. \u2018Leseni Mashinani\u2019 is not just a program it is the key to unlocking sustainable local revenue,\u201d he said.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Serem emphasized that the county government, under Governor Bii\u2019s leadership, is committed to public participation and inclusive governance, noting that the initiative brings services closer to the people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

County Executive Committee Member for Finance and Economic Planning, Micah Rogony, lauded the efforts of the implementation team and underscored the importance of the exercise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAs a County, we appreciate the good work the team has done so far. This is a major undertaking with far-reaching implications on how we engage and relate with our clients. Its success will define how effectively we deliver services,\u201d said Rogony.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

He also commended ward administrators for their leadership and coordination, noting that the initiative\u2019s trajectory is already promising. Rogony reiterated the county\u2019s commitment to completing ongoing and previously initiated development projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Director of Revenue, Stephen Chebwai, called for a strong start to the exercise, urging all stakeholders to remain focused and committed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe must commence this exercise on a high note. \u2018Leseni Mashinani\u2019 is now officially underway in Turbo Sub-County, covering areas such as Juakali, Turbo, Lumakanda, Kipkaren River, Musembe, and Kamagut,\u201d he announced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Echoing the call for excellence, Director of Finance Martin Mutai challenged the team to exceed expectations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe should not just meet our targets\u2014we must surpass them,\u201d Mutai stated.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The \u201cLeseni Mashinani\u201d initiative is expected to streamline revenue collection, improve compliance, and foster closer collaboration between the county government and local communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
