Members of the deaf community working at the County Government of Uasin Gishu have been sensitized on the Boma Yangu housing program in a tailored briefing aimed at promoting inclusivity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The session, held at County Hall headquarters, was facilitated by Boma Yangu officials Brian Kiptoo and Scolastica Biwott, who took participants through key aspects of the program, including application procedures, eligibility requirements and available housing opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A sign language interpreter was present throughout the briefing, ensuring that information was clearly communicated and accessible to all participants, marking a departure from previous engagements that often overlooked such accommodations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

County officials noted that the engagement reflects growing efforts to ensure inclusivity in the rollout of development programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

County Assistant Director of Communications, Selly Chebet, described the initiative as a step forward in bridging accessibility gaps, saying it reinforces the county\u2019s commitment to ensuring that all residents benefit from opportunities that shape their future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
