The County Government of Uasin Gishu County, in partnership with the KCB Foundation, has conducted a training session for panelists who will oversee the selection of beneficiaries for the foundation\u2019s Tujiajiri scholarship program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The training follows the recent launch of the scholarship program by Governor Dr. Jonathan Bii, an initiative aimed at supporting youth from across the county to pursue vocational training and gain marketable technical and hands-on skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The session brought together key officials from the county and the banking institution, including the County Executive for Education and Vocational Training, Eng. Lucy Ng’endo, Chief Officer for Vocational Training, Eunice Suter, officials from KCB Bank, among them Margaret Kibogy, as well as members of the interview panel tasked with vetting applicants.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Speaking during the training, Eng. Ng\u2019endo reiterated the need for transparency and fairness in identifying deserving beneficiaries, noting that the process must ensure equal opportunity for qualified youth across the county.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Suter said the training was designed to equip panelists with the necessary skills to effectively conduct interviews and guide the selection process in line with the program\u2019s objectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On her part, Kibogy said the Tujiajiri program seeks to empower young people by equipping them with practical technical skills that will enable them to secure employment and build sustainable livelihoods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Successful applicants will receive training support in a range of vocational courses offered at technical and vocational institutions across Uasin Gishu County.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
