Officials from the State Department for Agriculture and Livestock Development held a regional stakeholder engagement in Uasin Gishu County on Thursday to discuss the National Agri-food Systems Investment Plan (NASIP) 2025\u20132029.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hosted by Uasin Gishu County, the forum marked the culmination of nationwide consultations aimed at mobilizing investments and strengthening Kenya\u2019s agricultural and food systems across the country.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Closing the engagement, County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Agriculture, Dr. Sam Kotut, underscored the critical role of agro-processing in adding value to farm produce, creating employment opportunities, and increasing farmers\u2019 incomes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Kotut emphasized that strong collaboration between county and national governments is essential to unlocking the region\u2019s agricultural potential and driving sustainable growth in the sector.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The forum brought together delegates from Bungoma, Uasin Gishu, Nandi, Trans Nzoia, West Pokot, and Turkana counties. They were received by Uasin Gishu County Directors Abraham Kiptanui (Livestock), Reuben Seroney (Agriculture), Edna Kemei (Fisheries), and Ismael Asowa, who welcomed the national delegation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
