Preparations for the upcoming Eldoret National Show have intensified following a courtesy call by officials from the Agricultural Society of Kenya (ASK) to the office of Governor Dr Jonathan Bii. The meeting focused on finalizing logistical and technical arrangements ahead of the exhibition scheduled for March 4\u20138 at the Eldoret Showground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Organisers confirmed that more than 180 exhibitors have registered for this year\u2019s event, signaling growing confidence among farmers, agribusinesses, learning institutions, financial partners and innovators. The 2026 edition is expected to draw thousands of visitors from across the North Rift region and beyond.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

This year\u2019s show marks a strategic shift towards diversification and youth inclusion, with organizers seeking to reposition the exhibition as a dynamic platform for young agripreneurs, tech-driven enterprises and start-ups. The move aims to reshape perceptions of agriculture by showcasing it as a modern, innovation-led and profitable sector with the potential to transform livelihoods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Governor Jonathan Bii reaffirmed his administration\u2019s commitment to supporting the annual show, describing it as a key driver of climate-smart agriculture, agribusiness development and youth empowerment. He said the county government will continue to work closely with ASK to ensure the event surpasses previous editions in scale, organization and impact, particularly in opening up opportunities for young people across agricultural value chains.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deputy Governor Evans Kapkea assured organizers of enhanced interdepartmental coordination to guarantee smooth operations, adequate infrastructure, security and effective stakeholder engagement throughout the five-day exhibition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

County Executive Committee Member for Agriculture, Agribusiness, Livestock and Fisheries, Sam Kotut, emphasized the need to integrate innovation, training forums and climate-smart technologies into the program.
